In response to several requests over the past few months, we are pleased to announce that we have now developed a series of workshops and training sessions that we hope our candidates will find useful and cost effective. These include:

Making flexibility work – for some candidates in our network this may be the first time you have considered working independently, and the transition can be a challenge.  We would be delighted to take our discussions further than our initial meeting, and provide the benefit of our experience in coaching you through the opportunities and potential pitfalls of flexible working, what considerations to take, and how to make it work for you both before you start an assignment and in the crucial early stages.

Interview training and presentation skills – many of you may have been in the same job for a number of years, or out of the market place for a while, and could perhaps benefit from some refresher coaching on interview skills and preparation. We take a very pragmatic and interactive approach with sample questions and answers, helping anticipate potential questions, and ensuring that you will be confident to present yourself succinctly and effectively on the day.

CV writing – our experience of seeing CVs on a daily basis gives us an objective view on key elements to include and how to create the greatest impact with a potential new employer. We can assist with tweaking for a specific role and will ensure that your CV correlates well with your skills, experience, and personality. We take a three stage approach, meeting you to review your CV and discuss potential improvements, then providing a suggested draft and modifications, and finally meeting again to discuss additional edits before providing a final version, appropriate either to a general job search or a specific assignment.

Setting up independent company – if this is the first time that you have worked independently, you may not be aware of the advantages of setting up a limited company, processes to follow and pitfalls to avoid. We have produced guidelines and have a wealth of information of important considerations and steps to follow. In addition, and if required, we can also take responsibility for setting up your company for you, meaning one less thing for you to think about.

If you would like further information, including costings, please do get in touch by contacting Shirley Soskin. We look forward to having the opportunity of working with you.
